The Bayanegra Airen and Tempranillo are brought to life in the Bodegas Celaya vineyards which are located 800 metres above sea level. The significantly cold winter and dry summers form an ideal terrain for growing grape variety. Warm days and cool nights offer perect conditions for the variety’s long, slow ripening. Mr. Florindo Celaya Aranda from Bodegas Celaya started producing wines already in 1927 using traditional methods, and the vineyard is still owned by the same family.
